So much for "player driven gameplay".
I came to EVE for that, not for invulnerable NPC event ships which make any player interaction meaningless.
Was this event meant to actually have player interaction? or is it possibly something that could have just had a written article about? Because the second would have allowed for the same amount of impact as what happened. |

Players in no way shape or form determined any outcome of this. If it was just to further a storyline, an ISD write up would have sufficed.
This, again.
The in game event itself was useless. The write up would have made more sense than an event that could not have been influenced or changed in anyway via player actions.
This sets a horrible precedent for future events, where player interaction is meaningless and changes nothing. |

I might just add that CCP in no way shape or form amassed any escort, let alone asked for one. This was done entirely by players.
And would it have made any difference if an escort was there? No, not with 8mil EHP ships. They didn't NEED an escort, so both the players escorting and those trying to attack the delegation could not and did not make any difference in how this would have played out. |

No, we are saying that when you show up to troll a live event, don't claim to be role playing when you showed up to do nothing but troll.
"You weren't roleplaying how I want you to roleplaying, so you can't be roleplaying at all!".
I'd feel sorry for anyone who went to a DnD game with this mentality. I didn't realise we had to conform to the expectations of others in order to roleplay in EVE. |
